Busia County, Kenya is seeking qualified individuals to fill various positions in the Office of Governor. The County Public Service Board of Busia is seeking candidates for positions such as Chief Protocol Officer, Liaison Officer – 2 Posts, Personal Assistant, and Board Member – Busia County (Public Officers) Revolving Fund Board.
The roles include organizing and coordinating official events, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, overseeing and updating County Development, preparing guests lists and seating arrangements, coordinating press coverage of official functions, facilitating linkage with other institutions and organizations, and ensuring efficient communication with stakeholders and visitors.
Requirements for appointment include being a Kenyan citizen, having a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Public Administration, Management, or any related field, relevant working experience of at least three years, knowledge of office management, procedures, and practices, proficiency in written and verbal communication, and proficiency in computer applications.
The Board Member – Busia County (Public Officers) Revolving Fund Board has responsibilities to administer and manage the Fund internally, establish mechanisms for mobilization of resources, propose to the county executive member on profitable investment opportunities, consult with the County Public Service Board and Salaries and Remuneration Commission, establish criteria for accessing the Fund by way of loans, determine modes and methods of repayment of loans granted, receive, process and approve applications for loans, prepare and maintain accurate records of loan applications, approvals and repayments, set up and implement procedures for loan recoveries and defaults, initiate appropriate recovery proceedings in case of default, and perform other functions with the approval of the Executive Committee Member.
