Laundry Officer
Brief Description
The candidate will provide maximum comfort and hygiene to our guest by delivering the best quality of laundered aircraft furnish and linen.
Detailed Description
Principal Accountabilities (Responsibility)
Efficiency
- Adhered to Laundry processes and formulas.
- Classify aircraft furnish, and linen specific categories prior to washing to ensure production efficiency.
- Load the laundry wash wheels properly and follow wash formulas to obtain efficiency in the washing process.
- Carry out preventive maintenance procedures on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis including filter cleaning/replacements, light oiling and water/detergent/steam leak identification.
- Multiskilling involving working on aircraft cabin aesthetics and cleanliness involving removal and replacement of soiled seat covers and curtains. Aircraft fumigation and pest control
- Ability to check for latched laundry machine system faults on the selector panel for predictive maintenance and accurate trouble shooting.
Economical Operations
- Ensure proper use of time and materials. The right prescribed quantities of chemicals; proper water levels; Maintenance of equipment and proper scheduling of resources.
- Daily replenishment of detergents/cleaning solvents to the optimum levels.
Quality Management
- Ensure that the percentage of rewash does not exceed 3% of the linen volume processed in each time (daily, weekly or monthly).
- Carry out visual inspection to detect machine failures /problems which can be solved without undue downtime.
- Keep abreast with continual new changing aircraft furnish/linen fabrics and laundry chemicals in the marketplace to achieve and maintain high quality standards.
Safety
- Keep the Laundry free of dust and inspect daily.
- Empty line traps frequently after every shift.
- Attend to leaking pipes, humming motors or steam leaks immediately.
- Ensure and maintain a safe, healthy and secure working environment in compliance with the authority’s requirements, relevant industry regulatory and legislative requirements, company policies and customer airlines.
- Report hazards, near misses and incidents occurrences as per company procedures.
- Be conversant with firefighting skills.
Reports
- Pounds per hour produced per laundry step.
- Soiled carts dumped/pounds separated.
- Number of tunnel loads (transfers).
- Number of loads washed in conventional washers and turnaround time between loads.
- Pieces per hour per workstation person, including hand folded items Carts packed per hour.
Job Requirements
Qualification (Minimum)
- Diploma/Certificate in laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, catering or hotel management.
- Prior experience in similar role is preferable.
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Capacity to lift up to 20 pounds unaided.
- Driving license and competence
- Cert/diploma in computer studies
- Minimum 2 years relevant working experience.

Logistics Assistant -Technical Materials, ASE & Tooling & Facilities
Brief Description
The candidate will be responsible for the safe driving and care of KQ vehicles and property. He/she will always comply with the traffic regulations and the Organizations’ policies and regulations on vehicle Management as well as the Kenya Traffic Act CAP 403, Laws of Kenya.
Detailed Description
Principal Accountabilities (Responsibility)
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly transport duties.
- Logistics – Deliveries of aircraft materials between stores, workshops, production areas, and collecting technical materials from suppliers (Clinic, KEBs) and other pickups and deliveries as assigned.
- Drive KQ vehicles, and or equipment as shall be assigned by the Supervisor in a safe and economical manner in conjunction with the regulations in place.
- The Logistic Assistant is responsible for the routine check-up of the vehicles, routine check-up to include but not limited to oil, brake function, water, lights & tire condition, windshield wipers, etc.
- Confirm availability of vehicle tools and equipment’s before, during and after work.
- The Logistic Assistant shall always maintain assigned vehicles clean and in good condition, properly for the convenience of the Organizations’ operations.
- The Logistic Assistant shall always stop the engine and electric power of assigned vehicles to save consumption of fuels and the general vehicle engine performance.
- He/she shall ensure compliance with the given directives.
- The Logistic Assistant shall handover the assigned vehicles by doing a comprehensive handover report at end of shift.
- Produce weekly records of deliveries and collection made
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
Qualification (Minimum)
- Minimum of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education and Valid Driving license class BCE.
- Valid Certificate of good conduct.
- You are knowledgeable of the relevant laws and Traffic Act
- All required training by KAA is an added advantage.
- 5 years relevant work experience.

Principal Accountabilities (Responsibility)
- Cabin serviceability- Close planned maintenance tasks and send serviceability status daily.
- Cabin ADDs – All ADDs raised to have correct part numbers, shortage and linked in OASES. Less than 7% troubleshooting ADDs of the total count and less than 8% ground time ADDs.
- Cost –Optimization of consumables, Panasonic and Zodiac parts while ordering required parts only. Adherence to the leave roster.
- Attendance and safety – adhering to hub control roster, identify near misses and OTI’s.

Aircraft Maintenance Technician
Brief Description
- The candidate will Carry out all assigned inspection, repair, modification, rectification, replacement, overhaul and systems functional test tasks during aircraft maintenance for all KQ fleet/third party operators and perform certification in line with KCAA regulations/ company standard procedures at an optimized cost for the business whilst upholding high schedule integrity.

Principal Accountabilities (Responsibility)
- Carry out repair, modification, rectification, replacement, overhaul, functional test tasks on aircraft systems within planned TAT and certify in line with KCAA regulations/ company standard
- Carry out aircraft defect trouble shooting in accordance with maintenance manuals
- Conduct aircraft inspections and predictive maintenance to determine airworthiness
- Accurately complete aircraft maintenance documentation
- Operate maintenance equipment trained on and authorized for use
- Adhere to the company safety, health & environment policy to maintain company safety records, report incidents/accident occurrences as per company procedures to deliver quality and comply with 5S requirements
- Carry out security checks as per engineering security document annex8 to maintain our security standards.
