Intern Maa Bead-Work

- Maa Beadwork is seeking a motivated intern to support the documentation and digital cataloging of our hand made products. The intern will be responsible for creating product cards for over 200 unique bead-work items, detailing photographs, materials used, techniques, and associated costs. They will also update the personalized labels for all 468 women artisans in the programme.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Create accurate and visually appealing product cards for each bead-work item
- Photograph finished products and format images for internal use
- Document materials, techniques, and costing for each product
- Update and maintain individual artisan records and labels
- Support other IT or documentation tasks as needed
- Support in other bead-work activities as and when needed, including stock take, shop attendant, hosting of guests, etc
Qualifications and Skills:
- Fluency in Maa (spoken)
- Advanced computer literacy (especially Excel, Word, basic design or layout tools)
- Attention to detail and ability to organize information clearly
- Interest in or appreciation of Maasai bead-work
- Priority will be given to applicants from the local area
