Salary and Benefits
- Basic Salary: Starting at Ksh 28,620, progressing up to Ksh 37,100, with structured increments.
- Allowances:
- Commuter Allowance: Kshs. 4,000 per month.
- House Allowance: Based on region of deployment.
- Leave Allowance: Kshs. 4,000 annually.
- Leave Entitlement: 30 working days per year.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Assistant Office Administrator III will work under the supervision of a senior officer, with responsibilities that include:
- Taking oral dictation and processing word/data from manuscripts.
- Operating office equipment and ensuring the security of office documents and equipment.
- Attending to visitors and handling calls and appointments.
- Maintaining an organized filing system and supervising office cleanliness.
- Performing additional office administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements
To qualify for appointment to Office Administrative Assistant III (CSG 12), candidates must have:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of C- (minus), including at least C (plain) in English or Kiswahili.
- Diploma in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC)
OR
Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BES & GC)Â from KNEC in the following subjects:- Typewriting III (50 w.p.m.) / Computerized Document Processing III
- Shorthand II (80 w.p.m.)
- Business English II / Communications I
- Office Practice II
- Secretarial Duties II
- Commerce II
- Office Management III / Office Administration and Management III
- Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.
