Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable
Salary and Benefits
- Basic Salary: Starting at Ksh 25,420 with increments up to Ksh 33,170.
- Allowances:
- Commuter Allowance: Kshs. 4,000 per month.
- House Allowance: Based on the region of deployment.
- Leave Allowance: Kshs. 4,000 annually.
- Leave Entitlement: 30 working days per year.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Legal Clerk Assistant IV, under the guidance of a senior officer, will perform the following duties:
- Record and file processes in registers and maintain these registers.
- Serve documents issued by courts and prepare returns/affidavits of service.
- Manage the Legal Clerk movement register.
- Ensure court processes are served in compliance with the law, execute warrants of arrest, and enforce court orders.
Requirements
To qualify for the position of Legal Clerk Assistant IV (CSG 13), applicants must have:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum mean grade of C- (minus) or its equivalent.
- Certificate of Proficiency in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation.
- Demonstrated Competence in Process Service and a Valid Process Server Certificate from the High Court of Kenya (added advantage).
