Chief Technical Officer
Their CTO will lead the technology strategy, execution, and operations functions within their Technology function. As the leader of the Technology Department, you will be working closely with the founders as well as focusing on managing the Tech Team and be a champion for defining and scaling engineering processes.
Requirements
Your daily adventures include:
- Oversee the development of detailed plans and determinations for new products, relevant engineering tools & resources and build budgets in collaboration with Product Managers
- Create and set product roadmaps
- Provide leadership in the technology department for enablement and innovation and oversee the Tech Team OKR development and goal setting
- Manage a portfolio of technology projects to meet cost, scope, and schedule constraints
- Develop policies for internal technology operations to drive the attainment of SLAs
- Define the app architecture in conjunction with current and future requirements
- Manage and support the delivery of software and hardware operations and projects
- Enable process efficiency of back-office operations
- Drive innovation for front office or core business operations by recommending viable technologies
- Identify key skills and talent gaps in the department and work to recruit, train, and retain talent in the team
- You will be responsible for setting and allocating resources to engineering and product development
- Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
- In collaboration with the Executive Leadership collaborate on and communicate technology strategy to partners and investors
- Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
What It Takes To Succeed
- At least 7+ years of experience in a Ecommerce, FinTech or SAAS environment
- At least 3 years in a leadership role
- Experience in start-ups and scaling up a team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Programming, Computer Science or Engineering
- Experience hiring, managing, and retaining a team of talented technical professionals
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating with business leaders to drive the effectiveness of the Tech department
- Business mindset and sense
- Able to assist with overviewing coding
- Ability to align a high-performing technical team to organizational goals
- Tactful and diplomatic problem-solving skills
- Agile and resilient with a good work ethic
- Possess the ability to work with a diverse group of individuals in a multicultural team in a professional and service-oriented manner
- Knowledge management and learning; actively working towards continuing personal learning and development in one or more practice areas while applying newly acquired skills in day-to-day work
