Job Summary

KenGen is committed to supporting the empowerment of youth in line with Government youth initiative agenda by providing opportunities to young graduates to sharpen their knowledge and skills in their respective professions through short term internship program. In line with this initiative, we are looking for qualified persons for the Internship program that will commence on 1st February, 2023 for a period of six (6) months. We have limited opportunities and candidate should meet the following requirements:

Job Description

Basic Requirements

1.    Should be available on full time for the duration of the programme (6months)
2.    Should have graduated within the last 3 years with a relevant Degree or Diploma obtained from an accredited institution.
3.    Be a Kenyan youth between 21-29 years of age
4.    Should not have undertaken any other internship programme or exposed to work experience related to their area of study after graduation.
5.    Should be vaccinated against Covid 19 and have the certificate

Applicants are requested to note the following important information:

a)    INCOMPLETE applications will not be considered
b)    Sucessful candidates will be required to complete the six months program without a break so as to fully benefit from the objectives of this key intiative.
c)    KenGen WILL NOT offer employment after completion of the program. However, applicants who sucessfully complete the program will be eligible to apply for any positions in the company as advertised from time to time.
d)    Succesful candidates will be required to submit a certificate of good conduct.
e)    Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
f)    Canvassing, falsifying or misrepresentation of information will lead to automatic disqualification.
