Position Title: Enumerator
Reports to: Field Coordinator
Duty Station: West Pokot
Action Against Hunger West Pokot Office is looking for enumerators to support in conducting baseline/end line assessments, FGSs, KIIs on a need basis
Delivery
- Daily feedback on the survey progress at the respective villages
- Quality data collected from the individual household members
- Mobilization of the participants/community
- Support in households sampling
II. Essential Job Duties
- Participate in identification and mobilizationn of respondents/community
- Administer Key informant interviews, focused group discussion among others
- Conducting household survey on selected households wothin the assigned areas
- Follow confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondents privacy is protected
- Document all th findings in the provided data collection tools
- Participate in team review meetings at the beginning/end of each days assignment

- No direct Supervisory roles
IV. Physical Demands
- To travel to the field, the employee must attest to a level of physical fitness capable of enduring physically difficult, highly stressful situations which may include the necessity to walk long distances, to eat a limited diet and/or to reside in potentially uncomfortable housing or tents.
- The physical demand described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
V. Working Conditions, Travel and Environment
- Must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required by contact with the missions, mission security, or other obligations.
- While visiting the field, the employee may be exposed to precarious settings under high security risks and/or very basic living comditions and outside weather conditions, as well is to infectious diseases

VII. Required Qualifications
- Minimum qualification of a degree/diploma in social sciences, or any other related field
VIII. Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated prior experince in household surveys, baseline surveys, midterm surveys or end line survey is an added advantage
- Demonstrated prior experince in electronic data collection methodologies;
- Good report writing skills
- Good facilitation skills
- Good communication skills
- Innovative, motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to work on strict deadlines
- Willingness to accomplish each day’s work with the supervisor by the end of each day, which may involve long working hours
- Knowledge of the local language will be an added advantage
