JOB PURPOSE
In response to the ongoing drought emergency, World Food Programme and the Government of Kenya has identified 12 counties that require immediate food assistance. In order to ensure timely and effective cash transfers to targeted households, WFP is currently seeking enumerators to electronically register beneficiaries in the 12 counties earmarked for the cash transfers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Office, and under the direct supervision of the County Coordinator and the Team Leader, the registration enumerator will:
- Interview heads of families targeted under this emergency drought response and enter their data in a corporate beneficiaries’ database.
- Conduct regular quality checks during data collection, ensuring clarity, accuracy and consistency.
- Work closely with WFP and Cooperating partner field staff to enhance effective coordination during the entire registration period.
- Ensure all data collected is synchronized and reported to the Team Leader.
- Provide regular and timely feedback to the designated registration supervisor and the head of field office.

- Be responsible and take appropriate care of the assigned equipment.
- Answer, log, respond to, escalate, and manage queries from beneficiaries.
- Analyze, categorize, and consolidate information about queries received and issues raised.
- Any other duties assigned.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: At least a Certificate or Diploma in a relevant field or has currently completed at least 2 years of undergraduate degree i.e., continuing study in the following fields: Statistics, Data Management, Community Development, Nutrition, Public Health or other relevant fields related to data collection.
Language: fluency in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili. Knowledge of local language (s) also preferred.
- Excellent and accurate data entry/collection and computer skills
- Experience in conducting household surveys, good interviewing skills.
- Ability to travel into remote field locations, work under pressure.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent knowledge of county’s local context.
- Experience utilizing computers
