A leading engineering company providing technology and infrastructure solutions with operations in Telecommunications, ICT and Power sectors are looking for a General Manager. Reporting to the Managing Director, the General Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations, strategic planning, and team leadership within the respective engineering disciplines.
Direct Reports: Head of Water Engineering sector, Head of Healthcare sector, Head of Geomatics sector
- Develop and implement effective strategies and programs to achieve business objectives and ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee project management, from planning and design to execution and delivery, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor project progress, including cost, quality, and timelines, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues or challenges that may arise during project execution.
- Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment, encouraging innovation, professional development, and knowledge sharing.
- Set clear goals and objectives for the team and ensure their alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
- Conduct performance evaluations and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Business Development and Client Relationship Management:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including client acquisition and retention.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing innovative solutions.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s services and build a strong professional network.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies and campaigns to expand the company’s market presence.
- Any other duty that may be assigned by the management.

- Proven experience in a senior managerial role within the engineering industry, typically over 10 years.
- Strong understanding of medical engineering, water engineering, and geomatics engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices within the respective engineering disciplines.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
