How To Apply For Open Paid Internships at Media Council of Kenya
Paid internship slots for the financial year 2022–2023 have been advertised by the Media Council of Kenya (MCK).
The industrial placement program will run from September to November, according to a statement from July 16.
Interns will receive a monthly stipend of Ksh15,000 for the duration of the three months.
The Program is designed to give journalism students real-world work experience before they graduate and to get them ready for the job market.
The beneficiaries of the internship program will be placed in reputable media outlets across the country in the following concentrations: corporate communications, radio, television, digital, and editorial.
“Students pursuing degree or diploma in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, Digital Media, or Public Relations who meet the above requirements are eligible to apply,” the MCK statement read in part.
Requirements
The three-month program will target final-year students from accredited universities or middle-level colleges.
They will need to submit an application letter and a letter of recommendation from their higher education institutions.
Additionally, applicants will be required to submit their academic transcripts, MCK Student Cards, and valid university or college registration numbers.
They will also be required to provide proof of their published work or broadcast content as part of the application process.
How to Apply
Students who are interested must submit all requirements through the MCK online portal.
The online portal will allow students to present all the documents for MCK’s verification.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, August 12.
