Mechanical Engineers – Internship

Job Summary

The job entails Operation & maintenance of plant and equipment in the power plants , drilling , reservoir and steam field as well as dispatch Centre

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Operation, repair and maintenance of power plants, equipment, workshop equipment, tools, pipeline, steam-gathering system, earthmovers, drilling rigs and measurement of geothermal well parameters and building services Equipment/systems.
  2. Supervision of construction, installation and commissioning of power plant, machinery, equipment and pipeline.
  3. Monitoring, evaluation and reporting on maintenance programs, energy generation, projects implementation schedule, efficiency of machines, equipment performance and geothermal wells data.
  4. Collection of data for maintenance, projects and energy planning
  5. Scheduling of calibration program for equipment, tools and instruments

 

Librarians/ Information Scientists – Internship

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Implementing knowledge harvesting and transfer programs and activities
  2. Managing all the information, knowledge management tools & systems in the Company
  3. Supporting knowledge management programmes in line with the innovation and knowledge management strategy.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelors degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. Date of graduation should be after 2020.

 

Electrical Engineers – Internship

Job Summary

An Engineer on internship at this level will work under guidance and supervision of a Senior Engineer and is responsible for planning and supervision of machines attending to breakdowns ,assist in planning and installation and commissioning of new equipment as well as reviewing of project documents

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

  1. Operation, repair and maintenance of power plants, instrumentation, power system protection, switchgear, generators, transformers, motors, compressors, workshops equipment, tools, drilling rigs and building services equipment/systems.
  2. Supervision of construction, installation and commissioning of power plant, plant automation and electrical equipment.
  3. Test and calibration of electrical equipment
  4. Monitoring, evaluation and reporting on maintenance programs, energy generation, projects implementation schedule and equipment performance.
  5. Collection of data for maintenance, projects and energy planning
  6. Contract management and administration
  7. Geothermal wells, steam-field management and reservoir monitoring
  8. Adherence to quality, occupational health and safety standards

Person Specifications

  1. Bachelors of Science/Technology Degree in Electrical and Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized institution and accredited by EBK
