Chief Credit Officer

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Chief Credit Officer (CCO) will be responsible for the overall management of the Bank’s Credit Administration Division, including the Credit Underwriting Team, Credit Recovery Unit and Credit Services Unit to ensure that the bank’s credit operations functions are run effectively and efficiently. The job incumbent is also accountable for loan review analysis process, and all functions providing lending support, direction, credit information, and loan policies, procedures and processes to ensure the overall quality of the Bank’s lending portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overview the credit underwriting team in the daily credit application assessment & follow-up, to mitigate risk of lending to customers by providing a critical analysis of customers credit applications towards business decisions
- Monitor disbursement of loans with the objective of reducing the turn-around time for loan disbursement and achieving complete and accurate documentation prior to disbursement within the limits of the Bank’s guidelines and BoM regulations
- Ensure adherence to credit, collection and fraud policies and objectives to manage risk within the company’s acceptable risk ranges for commercial, consumer and credit card lending
- Develop scorecard analytics and a credit policy for managing the level of credit risk exposure
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies
- Act as principal spokesperson for the lending function and manage the loan approval process
- Work in close collaboration with the legal team to ensure that litigation issues are resolved expeditiously while minimizing legal and collection expenses
- Perform any other related duties as may be required
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Post graduate qualifications in in Finance/Banking/Accounting/Legal or any professional qualifications
- 10+ years’ of banking / financial services / credit related field experience including 5+ years in leadership role
- A good knowledge and understanding of Banking, as well as domestic and international legislation, rules and regulations impacting banking and non-banking
- Familiar with current industry trends
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, understand and communicate technical documentation
- Problem solving skills and result orientation

Head of Asset & Liability Management (ALM) and Capital Management

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Head of Asset & Liability Management (ALM) and Capital Management will be responsible for Balance Sheet and Capital Management in collaboration with different units within the Company and as per regulatory guidelines, policies, procedures and other requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the function and activities of ALM & Capital Management of the Bank, in an effective manner, by deploying appropriate resources
- Be responsible for liquidity management of short and long term cash flows while catering for disaster management scenarios
- Be responsible for effective fund management of the Bank to ensure liquidity position of the Bank is sound and optimally cost effective
- Manage Fund Transfer Pricing (FTP) including oversight of the FTP design, liquidity premium and cost
- Support the Asset and Liability Management Committee (“ALCO”) in optimizing balance sheet structure and liquidity for the Bank and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Be responsible for the overall analysis and management of market, interest rate and liquidity risks arising from the Bank’s assets and liabilities
- Be responsible for the selection and implementation of investment strategies for the banking book investments in line with the assigned budget
- Be responsible for the prudent use of hedging to mitigate financial risks related to Interest Rates and Foreign Exchange risk on the bank’s borrowings as well as investment
- Be responsible for the optimal calculation of RWA and Capital Ratios in line with regulatory requirement
- Optimize Risk adjusted return on the use of excess funds
- Monitor closely the statutory requirements of the Bank (LCR/CRR/NSFR) and adhere to statutory guidelines issued
- Oversee Contingency Funding Plan and work closely with Risk Management Team on stress testing
- Prepare & Own budgets for the function pertaining to Borrowings, Placements and Investments
- Liaise with Regulators and any other relevant stakeholders
- Perform any other related duties as may be required
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Banking and Financial Services Industry with at least 8 years in Treasury Department or any relevant department of a bank or financial institution and operating at a senior position
- A first degree in Finance or any other relevant field and/or any relevant professional qualifications
- A master’s degree would be a definite advantage
- Have strong leadership skills
- Have an understanding of international liquidity reporting regulations and good knowledge of local banking regulations.
- Knowledge of technical and fundamental analysis around ALM and Capital Management
- Excellent analytical acumen and fair for strategy

Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking

Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Head of Corporate & Instituional Banking will be responsible for overseeing the Corporate International Banking & Syndications, Corporate Domestic Banking Division and Financial Institutions Department. The job incumbent will be responsible to formulate, implement and coordinate strategies for the segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate the necessary strategies and objectives in accordance with the Board’s guidelines
- Review lending to the Bank’s Institutional, Corporate and Commercial clients
- Continuously review & maintain the lending portfolio so as to maintain a diversified client base, in line with macroeconomic conditions and the Bank’s strategy
- Monitor and identify possible problem clients and ensure that appropriate recommendations are made for sufficient provisions on non-performing loans
- Lead, inspire and coach a team of high-calibre professionals, creating succession to key roles and enhancing the Bank’s management capability
- Build and maintain relationship with strategic partnership with other recognised foreign Financial Institutions to tap opportunities for cross border funding initiatives
- Be accountable for cross border revenue, profitability & growth
- Be accountable for innovative cross border solutions, management and development
- Perform any other related duties as may be required
