Chairperson of the Council

A person shall be qualified for appointment as chairperson or member of the Council if that person-
- is a citizen of Kenya:
- holds a degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
- has knowledge and experience of at least ten years, in the case of the chairperson, or seven years, in the case of a member, in matters relating to any of the following fields-law; journalism; finance; gender and human rights; performing arts; advertising; public relations; religious studies; communication; humanities and social sciences; or information technology:
- meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
- has had a distinguished career in their respective fields.
Member of the Council

Method of Application
- All applications (manual and online) shall be accompanied by detailed curriculum vitae, copies of relevant academic and professional certificates, testimonials, telephone number and email.
- A copy of the National Identity Card shall be appended.
- All applications shall be clearly marked, “Application for position of Chairperson or Member of the Media Council of Kenya” and submitted in any ONE of the following ways:
- Manual applications should be hand delivered to the General Registry on 9th Floor, Teleposta Towers, off Koinange Street
