Quality Manager-AMO (QAM-AMO)
About The Role
Our client a leading local airline is looking for a Quality Manager-AMO who will be responsible for maintaining an effective independent quality system within the AMO. The quality system assures compliance with the regulatory and customer requirements and should be effective in delivering the desired continuous improvement.
ACCOUNTABILITY
- Ensuring maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with conditions and restrictions of the AMO and in compliance with applicable regulations, standards and industry requirements.
- Confirm that the company’s quality objectives, as defined in the Quality objectives and policies statement are achieved.
- Develop and ensure that there is a full implementation of the AMO quality schedule.
AUTHORITY
- Authority to make decisions on risk tolerability when Operational and maintenance safety risks and security threats are Unacceptable and tolerable.
RESPONSIBILITY
- Ensure day-to-day administration of Quality Management System across the AMO and stakeholders on behalf of the Accountable Manager.
- Liaise with Civil Aviation Authorities, Original Equipment Manufacturers and other stakeholders.
- Provide an independent assessment and overview of the Quality management of the maintenance activities and where issues are not being addressed adequately; advise or raise with the Managing Director/CEO and other senior management.
- Communicate and coordinate with operational managers in the management of operational risks.
- Ensure appropriate corrective or preventive actions that address relevant compliance and/or conformity issues have been implemented and are being monitored for effectiveness.
- To monitor compliance with Civil Aviation Regulations and coordinate activities required to meet these standards.
- To disseminate information to all personnel (management and non-management personnel) as appropriate to ensure an organizational awareness of relevant quality assurance issues and results.
- Co-ordinate and support AMO renewal and IATA Safety Audits (IOSA) renewal activities to ensure retention of certification.
- Control and coordinate quality training for internal quality Auditors to ensure only qualified quality audit personnel are utilized.
- Develop and maintain Quality Management systems manuals and documentation and ensure its effective implementation.
- Ensure annual C of A renewals are done within the timelines and subsequently updated on the system.
- Ensure entry into service of additional aircraft. Support route startup operations and maintenance station audits.
- To control the records of the maintenance and certifying staff.
- Develop and control the Quality budget.
Knowledge,skills & Experience
- A License maintenance engineer.
- Has successfully completed training in Quality Management Systems certification.
- At least five years’ experience in the field of aircraft maintenance of which three years should have been acquired in a quality assurance.
- At least three years’ experience in the field of aircraft maintenance or a similar role at management level.
- Thorough awareness of Commercial Airline industry dynamics
Safety Manager
About The Role
Our client a leading local airline is looking for a Safety Manager who will be responsible for the effective functioning of the SMS and also coordinates SMS functions throughout the organization and provides guidance towards compliance with Safety standards in order to meet both local authority, and international aviation requirements in the respective areas of Company operations.
Responsibilities
- Liaison with Local and internal Authorities and other stake holders on matters safety on behalf of the Head of Safety
- Ensure appropriate corrective or preventive actions that address relevant compliance and/or conformity issues have been implemented and are being monitored for effectiveness.
- Monitor trends in reporting system and generate reports for management review
- Ensure day-to-day administration of SMS through communication and coordination with operational managers in the management of operational risk on behalf of Head of Safety
- Ensure organizational awareness of relevant safety issues by communicating to management and non-management staff on behalf of head of safety
- Monitor the Safety division budgets.
- Ensure that the organization’s program for setting safety performance measures is fully implemented in all departments and subjected to management review.
- Carry out internal and external safety audits
- Coordinate the Implementation of Emergency response program on behalf of head of safety
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation related field
- Has successfully completed training in: Quality and Safety Management Systems certification recognized by KCAA Accident Investigation (optional) ERP Awareness training
- At least 5 years of experience in aviation safety with 2 years at supervisory level
- Excellent knowledge of safety management principles (EASA, ICAO, IOSA)
- Experience in management of business critical projects
- Data analysis and problem solving skills
- Planning and organization; Ability to develop clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a wide range of people/cultural diversity
- Accountability; take ownership of all responsibilities and honors commitment
