Job Description
The data quality engineer will write testing plans and routines, manage continuous integration and regression testing processes, and be the point person for clearing data for release according to delivery specifications. The engineer must be able to function effectively in a high-volume, rapid delivery environment in which publicly available data must meet data security and accessibility specifications without fail.
- Work with product managers and development leads to create testing strategies
- Translate manual test cases into automated scripts for regression tests
- Work with data engineers to develop, maintain and execute Automation scripts using automated functional testing tools.
- Use DevOps practices to integrate into CI/CD pipeline and manage scripts in source code management.
- Ensure that test scripts are readily available for regression testing all the time
- Comfortable with pair programming
- Setup demos when required.
- Help create and implement quality processes and requirements

Platform Engineer

Job Description
- Create a permanent, more integrated (with the rest of the team) role. Eliminate constant contracting overhead.
- Establish sustainable platform engineering capability for OMAR data platform
- Ensure software configuration management tooling adheres to the Old Mutual Cloud Security Controls Standard.
- Facilitate cadence calls with the development teams to understand demand in software configuration management and deployment, in order maintain the Platform Engineering product backlog.
- Own the execution/implementation of multiple Platform Engineering objectives, per quarter.
- Develop boilerplate infrastructure-as-code to provision build and deployment environments for software teams.
- Craft and maintain Platform Engineering documentation, templates and style guides and assist software development teams to adopt standards during delivery.
- Review technical artefacts (code, templates and documentation) generated by Associate Platform Engineers and software development teams.
- Respond (1st line) to and resolve support tickets in the Platform Engineering support queue.
- Facilitate AWS technical enablement workshops to the software development and architecture teams.
- Craft public-facing artefacts (blog posts, whitepapers, or open-source projects) which can be used by the engineering community outside the organization.
