Solutions Development Specialist

JOB OBJECTIVE(S)

To analyse, design, implement and support solutions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining and enhancing existing software applications.
  • Resolving technical issues through debugging, research and investigation.
  • Design, develop and implement creative and innovative software applications.
  • Participates in user requirement gathering as well as conducts design of solutions to be implemented.
  • Provide 3rd level support for platform based solutions under purview before final escalation to vendor/OEM.
  • Ensure compliance of team members with all change management, SDLC and Standard Operating Procedures(SOP’s) in the support of existing functionality, requested changes, projects and in the development of new functionalities.
  • Contribute to research goals and build on and refine appropriate outline ideas for the evaluation, development, demonstration and implementation of research.
  • Cultivate, disseminate and enforce functional policies, procedures and quality assurance best practices.
  • Identify and manage the resources necessary for all stages (planning, design estimation, execution) of systems development projects to ensure technical, financial and quality targets are met.
  • Design, develop and implement database.
  • Design, support and implement network infrastructure.
  • Design, support and implement mobile banking solutions.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of systems development projects using appropriate quality assurance processes to ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with agreed standards, methods and procedures.
  • Support, test and implement dealing system support.
  • Design, support and implement POS, PIN PAD and internet banking solutions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 3+ years of technical consulting experience or as an architect/programmer, with a minimum of 2years’ experience in DotNet(C#) and/or Java/Java based Application Development; HTML5, CSS3, Java Script, JQuery front-end development; PLSQL and/or T-SQL DB Scripting.
  • Excellent Knowledge of programming/system analysis, as well as quality assurance, prototyping, construction, integration and migration functions.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses an excellent understanding of business requirements and IT Strategies
  • First Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Systems Engineering or business related discipline with strong information systems component.
  • Possess knowledge and experience in developing, customizing and implementing business service abstractions
  • Ability to communicate ideas both in technical and user-friendly language
  • Ability to conduct research into application development issues and products.
  • Strong Customer Service skills demonstrated the ability to build professional relationships

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree-Graduate Degree(Bsc, BEng, B-Tech)

EXPERIENCE

Branch Manager – Mombasa Branch

Roles & Responsibilities

Business Growth

  • Entrench growth by market dominance and market share multiplication
  • Ensure that the overall budget of the Business Office is met and surpassed
  • Keep up to date with business environment information with the objective of identifying business opportunities and maximizing them
  • Network with all potential clients in all relevant categories of own locality

Profitability Management

  • Overall owner of the P&L of the branch and hence managing resources optimally, both human and material to achieving sustainable profitability
  • Driving through the business segments within the branch to ensure maximization of coverage in own locality
  • Develop and manage strategies to increase the share of wallet of all types of customers within own locality

Branch Operations & Leadership

  • Own responsibility for the Business Office – Market Facing & Customer Service functions
  • Ensure effective Customer Service Delivery and Experience across all touchpoints in the branch
  • Responsible for brand and ambience management within the branch
  • Ensure that the Bank’s/ Regulatory Authorities’ policies and guidelines are complied with at all times
  • Direct and coach the branch team while instituting and driving a learning culture within the branch

KPIs:

Achieve the approved PBT for the branch

Job Requirements

  • First degree in any field from a recognized university.
  • Preferably have a second degree or relevant professional certification (as an added advantage).
  • Excellent banking knowledge with Five (5) years of primary banking experience in sales or operations and at least 2 years secondary banking experience in retail/commercial banking or branch operations. with a leading industry player.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
