Accounts Assistant Intern
Responsibilities
- Process payroll to ensure staff are correctly paid and in time in compliance with contractual obligation
- Prepare reconciliations monthly for all the payroll accounts and obtain credible explanations and reasons for all reconciling items to prevent and detect errors and frauds
- Preparation, reporting and submission of group payroll information and statistics to management for decision making
- Prepare and file monthly and annual returns to ensure compliance with statutory requirements i.e., NHIF Act, NSSF Act, KRA
- Contribute to process improvement by participating in a range of payroll and service delivery reform
- Processing receipts, sales invoices and payments
- Completing tax return forms
- Ensuring that accounts are accurately monitored and recorded
- Preparing balance sheets
- Invoice payable and receivables
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA at least section III and above
- 1 years’ experience in accounting field in a busy environment
- Excellent in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in using quick books
- Good communication skills.
- Accurate and works well under pressure.
Human Resources Intern
Duties and Responsibilities: –
- Participating in processing applications for employment and transfers;
- Participating in administering employee welfare programs;
- Participating in the processing of leave applications;
- Participating in updating staff skills inventory
- Conducting daily staff count
- Reporting on Payroll inputs daily and weekly
- Communicate with potential job candidates.
- Conduct background checks by verifying employment history.
- Issue employment contracts and verify completion.
- Conduct employee orientations and onboarding.
- Support and respond to all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
- Maintain digital and electronic records of employees.
- Assist with performance management procedures.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas.
- Coordinate training sessions.
- Ensure company organization charts and employee directories are current
- Produce and submit reports on HR activity when required
- Organize, handle multiple tasks at one time, with attention to detail.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Requirements for Appointment
- We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, driven, ambitious and with a zeal for learning.
- You will need to have excellent communication skills, complimented by excellent organizational and planning skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources
- Higher Diploma in HR
- IHRM certification
