Nzoia Water Services Company Limited (Nzowasco) was formed under the Companies Act (CAP 486) on 4th February 2004 and became operational a year later on 9th February 2005. Nzowasco is mandated to provide water and sewerage services within the County Governments of Bungoma (Bungoma, Webuye & Kimilili) and Trans Nzoia (Kitale).

Job Specification
Academic/ professional Qualifications/ Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, strategic management or any other Business-Related Field from a recognized institution; Masters in the relevant field is an added advantage CPA (K), ACCA or relevant professional qualifications
  • Membership with the relevant professional body and in good standing Seven (7) years relevant working experience with at least three (3) years in a Senior Management position
  • Management course lasting four weeks is an added advantage

Job Specification

  • A registered member of ICPAK and in good standing Computer literate
  • Five (5) years relevant working experience two of which should have been in a supervisory role

Board of Directors

The Board of NZOWASCO has vacancies for representatives of the following stakeholders;

  • One (1) Director from Bungoma County nominated by a body of professionals representing accountants, Auditors, supply chain, public secretaries, engineers, lawyers, doctors, human resource, surveyors, training institutes, arbitrators, among
  • others.
  • One (1) Director from Trans- Nzoia County representing different resident organizations as stakeholders of the Company.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible all the persons appointed to the Board shall:

  • have a minimum of a Bachelors degree from a recognized university in any of the following backgrounds:
  • Accounting / Finance, Registered Engineer, Human Resource degree and practitioner, Practising Advocate of the High Court, Business systems/ Management systems Degree, IT practitioner degree or equivalent.
  • Must be in good standing with representative organization/institution or professional body.
  • Must have a minimum of seven years working experience in the core profession of the person.
  • Meets the Fit and Proper test criteria from WASREB available at www.nzoiawater.or.ke.
  • Must have attended Corporate Governance Training in a recognized institution.
  • Must not be a supplier or other trading associates of the company.

NOTE:
