Kenya National Bureau of Statistics invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals with excellent credentials to fill the following positions:

1. Manager ,legal services- 1 post .
2. Assistant manager, Human resource management-1 post.
3. Assistant Statistician, Field services- 14 positions

Assistant Statistician, Field services

Requirements for appointment

• Must have a Diploma in any of the following disciplines:- Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or any other related qualifications from a recognized institution;

• Must have a Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution

Key responsibilities

• Dispatching and receiving of questionnaires;

• Following-up on non-response from data providers;

• Collecting, collating, coding, entering and classifying data;

• Entering data into statistical applications;

• Maintaining checklists of data providers;

• Identifying and locating statistical units of enumeration;

• Carrying out pre-test and piloting of data collection instruments;

• Printing questionnaires, archiving and retrieving completed returns;

• Updating county specific sampling frames;

• Preparing census databases for selection of sampling units;

• Listing field sampling units;

• Distributing sampling frame materials;

• Capturing data for developed and updated sampling units;

• Editing and updating records in the sampling frame database;

• Retrieving sampling units records;

• Any other duties lawfully assigned by the supervisor.
