KURA Warns Kenyans To Be Aware of Fake Recruitments

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority management has warned Kenyans to be aware of fraudsters who are posing as KURA employees while swindling innocent citizens. It is reported that the cunning con artists even purport to have official appointment letters on forged letterheads.
“The management of Kenya Urban Roads Authority has ben made aware of fraudsters purporting to work for KURA calling unsuspecting citizens and asking them for money in relation to recently advertised Jobs” Reads part of the notice issued by KURA on Tuesday, 19th July.
The authority therefore advises the general public that it does not charge any fee for application, shortlisting, interviews or placement; It has an elaborate recruitment process that include advertisement of position ,shortlisting, interviews and appointments therefore no appointment can be made to a position not applied for by an eligible candidate .
KURA also announced that any communication regarding recruitment is don through formal letters , email or through the official numbers 07171052333/ 020-8013844.
In notice dated Tuesday, June 21, the government agency announced 45 Vacant positions. The Authority was seeking to hire individuals across the board from Directors whose requirements involve advanced university education to drivers with a requirement of KCSE certificates.
Other positions advertised include Deputy Directors for Engineering and Quality Assurance, Engineers (18 positions), Land Surveyor, Assistant Office Administrators, Inspectors and Drivers.
Interested applicants were advised to visit kura.go.ke to access full details about the individual vacancies as well as to download the application form.
Once filled, the envelope were to be hand-delivered to KURA’s JKIA office in Nairobi and specifically dropped in the application boxes located on the first-floor East Wing.
“Candidates who meet the set criteria should apply in writing by downloading the mandatory KURA Job Application Form provided on the website, fill all required fields, sign and date the form and attach certified copies of certificates and transcripts, testimonials, curriculum vitae and a cover letter.
“Completed application forms together with cover letter, certified copies of stated documents to be hand-delivered in a sealed envelope with the respective job reference number clearly marked on the envelope,” specified the notice.
Applications were to be made before July 11, 2022.
