Principal Officer-Financial Planning & Analysis
The role will report administratively to the Senior Manager-Business Planning & Reporting .The role holder will ensure that the business is able to process, compile and report the annual budgets, Long range plan and rolling forecast results to management and the Group on a timely basis. The preparation of the annual budgets, long range plan and rolling forecast results should comply with company procedures and the accounting policies for the Group and submitted in the formats prescribed.
Job Responsibilities
- Document and implement best practice budgetary processes and procedures and ensure they are in conformity with ISO standards. Ensure the budgetary processes and procedures are reviewed and updated quarterly.
- Ensure implementation of the company processes & procedures in the preparation of the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts while incorporating the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Ensure the annual budgets, long range plan and quarterly forecast information adheres to IFRS and complies with Group accounting policies.
- Prepare the Hyperion supporting schedules, reconciliation statements and financial statements ready for use in the Vodacom Group submissions.
- Identify improvements in the Oracle financial application that impact on the Budgeting Model and participate in the implementation of the improvements.
- Review and avail Monthly Consolidated Group Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash flow statements with KPIs for Subscribers, Usage, ARPUs and Margins.
- Coordinate the preparation of the monthly rolling forecast and submit to Vodacom
- Detailed review of monthly cash flow forecasts
- Monitor performance closely ensuring risks and opportunities to budget are highlighted to management ahead of time
- Margin statements to be availed and circulated to Product managers showing performance to EBIT Margin.
- Identify and implement cost and efficiency improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified Accountant with CPA (K)/ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent with an Honors degree from a recognized university;
- 4-5 years of Accounting experience in an international or well-run company
- At least 2 years of management experience in corporate reporting for financial and management information
- Proficiency in using the Hyperion Financial Management system for planning and reporting.
Agile Coach
Reporting to the Cluster Senior Agile Coach, TMO the Agile Coach is responsible for coaching tribes, squads and chapters in the adoption of agile ways of working to build high performing teams to achieve tribe outcomes aligned with company mission. Advocate for organization-wide agile transformation.
Responsibilities
- Coach: Coach Tribe leads, tribe Tech Leads, Chapter Leads, Product Owners and empower squad members to deliver aspirational OKRs for business performance. Coach teams to identify value opportunities and run experiments to test them to drive innovation culture.
- Facilitator: Facilitate squads’ agile way of working through Safaricom Agile Blueprint best practice. Adhere to Tribe and squad ceremonies e.g. 6 weeks look ahead, 2 weeks sprint, POCLAC, PO sync, Monthly Tribe reviews, Big room Planning, Quarterly Business Review.
- Trainer: Provide training to the squad on the agile process through continuous training and improvement on velocity, quality, processes etc. Deliver training programs for all employees in the organization as needed as part of agile capability training (e.g., bootcamps, “Agile 101” sessions, role specific trainings) to grow agile culture.
- Mentor: Focusing on squads and tribes Continuous Improvement by creating a psychological safe environment for healthy conflict and meaningful collaboration.
- Train TL, TTL, PO, CL and tribe members on agile principles and how to apply them in backlog creation, MVP design and user story mapping to focus on business outcomes to satisfy the customer.
- Agile maturity: tribe monthly pulse surveys to measure the adoption of Agile principles and practices to identify gaps and opportunities to improve overall Agile maturity.
- People and mindset performance evaluations in the contribution model via 360-degree feedback for the Tribe’s Agile Squads.
- Develop professional skills as “craftsmanship” through Agile Coach craft learning journey: Outcomes-focused delivery, Coaching & Agile skills.
- Facilitation of chapter boosts, inter-chapter boosts and knowledge sharing for best practice evolution and consistency.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and background of agile concepts and business performance
- Possess certifications in agile practices e.g. Professional Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Product Owner etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM from an accredited college or university is preferred
- Experience in the IT industry and a good understanding of the full software life cycle and DevOps.
- Good experience with at least one remote collaboration tool like Jira, Confluence, Teams, Mural, Miro
- Experience in writing and working with product backlog, epics, and user stories preferred.
Senior Manager- HRBP Contact Centre
Reporting to the Head of HRBP Channels, the position holder will be responsible for Strategic Business Partnering, will act as an HR interface with the business leadership community, responsible for leading and supporting the transformational people agenda by pro-actively bringing to life the Safaricom People Strategy. Be part of the business/function management team on the development and implementation of business strategy with particular responsibility for the people elements. Act as a key and active member of the Division agenda and strategy, providing challenging and consulting support. Collaborating with key stakeholders to proactively identify areas where HR can add value, and lead solutions in support of strategic goals and improving organizational performance.
Responsibilities
- Design HR strategy and business plan, which includes measuring the nature, cost and effectiveness of delivered HR solutions and a pipeline of planned interventions.
- Work with the leadership teams to establish a people agenda which underpins and supports the delivery of the business goals and drives employee engagement
- Act as chief HR consultant to the business. Coach and influence SLT leaders and other senior leaders on the implementation of corporate policies and practices related to Human resources
- Drive the HR agenda within the Division/Sub division ensuring that all people managers are equipped and able to deliver against the annual recurring people management requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Business Management or related field
- Breadth of knowledge and business acumen typically obtained from a total of 8-10 years’ work experience in a large commercial organization of which 4-5 years should be within the HR function directly in, or closely supporting, executive and/or line operations
- Minimum of 4 years in resolution of complex employee relation issues.
- Demonstrate competence in more than 2 HR technical functions
- Proven track record of managing programme / project management (including the coordination of multiple internal and external resources)

Senior Manager Managed Security Services
Reporting to the Head of Department, Cyber Security, the position holder will support the Enterprise Managed Security Service Strategy, Enterprise Customer Designs, Implementations and continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design security solutions for Cloud, IoT and Networks in line with best practices to ensure they meet Enterprise customer requirements.
- Lead managed security services and support to Enterprise Business Unit (EBU) Customers in designing and selling these services.
- Oversees the managed security operations centre (SOC) and the delivery of services they provide to customers.
- Coordinates with vendors/partners in solutions development and technology integration into our service delivery platform.
- Work closely with EBU product teams, security team to evaluate the viability of vendor products for the MSS and integrate products into solution plays, driving systems integration and implementation approaches.
- Drive managed security products go-to market and uptake in the Enterprise market.
- Define, analyze and periodically review the Enterprise security strategy and roadmap based on the evolving threat landscape and ensure risks identified are mitigated.
- Participate in definition of security requirements and acceptance criteria for new Enterprise customer solution.
- Draft, evaluate and respond to RFIs/RFPs.
- Liaise with Supply Chain in the procurement process of Managed Security solutions/systems.
- Participate in the technical evaluations for security systems that run Enterprise platforms.
- Participate in selection of the best solution and present to the CAPEX board.
- Ensure all vendors have up-to-date contracts (contract management).
- Implement Test, Deploy and Commission new systems for Enterprise customers.
- Develop the ‘as built’ Enterprise security solution for support handover.

- Define metrics and report periodically that clearly demonstrate value to the enterprise Customers.
- Conduct research and development/security intelligence on new areas in security and present on them for sensitization and knowledge transfer to other team members/staff.
- Ensure all Enterprise systems implemented have security, high availability and disaster recovery in accordance with best practices.
- Ensure change management and system handover processes are followed.
- Train stakeholders on the Security solutions and landscape.
- Build a Security Center of Excellence for Enterprise.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology
- Advanced professional information security certifications e.g. CISSP/CISM/CISA/GIAC/CEH/CPTP/OCSP
- Advanced Networking certifications: CCNA/CCNP/CCSP/CCIE
- Certifications in Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix Operating Systems
- Certifications in the use and administration of security tools e.g. Firewalls/IDS/Content Filters/Antivirus/Ethical Hacking tools
- Certifications in virtualization technologies: VMware, HyperV, Open Stack
