Job Overview:
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) in Kenya is seeking 30 qualified individuals for the position of Pupil. The ODPP is an independent prosecutorial authority, tasked with prosecuting criminal cases across the country as outlined in the Kenyan Constitution.
Key Requirements for Pupilage:
- Citizenship: Must be a Kenyan citizen.
- Academic Qualifications: A Degree in Law from a recognized university.
- Professional Qualifications: A Recommendation Letter from the Kenya School of Law confirming completion of the Advocates Training Programme.
- Additional Documents:
- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- A copy of the National Identity Card.
- Must have graduated from university by 2022 or earlier.
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
Skills & Personal Attributes:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a team and manage challenging tasks within deadlines.
- Computer literate.
Stipend & Benefits:
- Monthly Allowance: Kshs. 15,000, as stipulated by the Public Service Commission Circular Ref. PSC/ADM/14/V [108] dated December 16, 2016.
- Terms of Service: Pupilage. Pupils are not entitled to leave, service gratuity, medical cover, or any other benefits during the pupilage period.
