Finance and Operations Intern

Roles And Responsibilities

Operations & Admin

• Assist with coordinating with project leads to ensure that all project documentation is complete and aligned to internal requirements.
• Assist the department in streamlining its day to day administrative tasks and seek innovative solutions to ensure efficiency.
• Assist with logistical activities during project implementation.
• Assist with taking inventory and ordering office supplies as needed

Finance

• Data entry and revision for all active budgets into our financial system.
• Assist with organizing the donor filing system.
• Assist with Accounts Payable / Accounts receivable functions to ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments

Educational/Training Background & Skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products – particularly Excel
• Ability to understand basic finance
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Social Media Intern

Roles And Responsibilities

• Assist with the creation and scheduling of social media content
• Assist in the implementation of social media strategies
• Conduct market research and identify trends in social media engagement
• Create and edit graphics and videos for social media
• Monitor analytics and report on performance
• Help with other marketing or PR tasks as needed
• Assist with Interacting of social media followers by responding to comments and answering questions on different social media platforms. Conducting online polls and surveys to ascertain the brand’s reach.

Educational/Training Background & Skills

• Strong writing and communication skills
• Experience with social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.
• Understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and analytics
• Knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools, such as Adobe suites

Tech Product Intern

Roles And Responsibilities

Digital Hub development

• Assist in a continuous iterative process that will entail designing and conceptualizing the digital Shamiri hub with the platform developers.
• Oversee data and information management workstreams around the digital Shamiri hub.
• Train and support the project teams on the utilization of the digital Shamiri hub
• Take the lead in the development of a guidebook on the utilization of the digital hub.
• Monitor and identify gaps in the development and utilization of the hub.

Educational/Training Background & Skills

• Working knowledge and experience in Python + JavaScript
• At least 1 year of coding experience
• Experience in databases and PostgreSQL
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Github expertise
• Data analytics expertise
