About the Client:

Our client is in Manufacturing Sector seeking a Staff Van Driver responsible for transporting Staff to their destinations in a timely and safe manner and also help in performing other transportation functions of the organization.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure great customer service is delivered to all organization’s stakeholders
• Build rapport with contacts at all distribution centers and delivery locations
• Act as a professional representative of the organization during journeys and on delivery of goods
• Deliver and unload goods in accordance with health and safety standards of the organization
• Complete any administration required in relation to the collection/delivery of goods
• Ensure that the organization’s full Code of Conduct is fully adhered to
• Load and unload materials, goods, and equipment between various destinations as assigned
• Maintains the transportation vehicle in a clean and orderly condition, and inspects and report mechanical defects of malfunctions
• Performs special transports and maintains assigned vehicle, including keeping the vehicle clean and in good working order
• Immediately report to manager or supervisor anything that occurs which may potentially jeopardize the ability to physically or legally operate a motor vehicle
• Perform various pick up and delivery duties as well as other tasks as assigned by supervisor in support of daily activities
• Safely transport employees to and from work zones, while adhering to state and local traffic laws
• Ensure van is in safe operating condition at all times by scheduling regular maintenance
• Maintain transportation logbook and other documentation associated with services provided
• Keeping track of fuel usage
• Performing other related duties as required

Key Qualifications

• Overall experience of 5 years in the similar role
• A business-related certification and bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage
• Valid Driver’s License is a MUST with continuous 3 years’ minimum driving experience
• Knowledge and ability to follow traffic rules
• Experience in Manufacturing is an added advantage
